which is the most reliable antivirus software...is norton worth the trouble to keep it?

One care will also lock your computer in safemode. Norton uses up all your memory and slows down your system. Use an antivirus like Avast, AVG or AntiVir. . . They are all free and work as well as the big dogs. you can also use trend housecall which is internet based and can find anything ( http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ )
Trendmicro antivirus is probably the best for the money.
