Hi,

You should be able to get a mortgage if you file a bankruptcy discharge. If you have a lawyer they should be able to explain to you the importance of this and how it can help you.

Good luck.

Hi, most mortgage companies will give you a mortgage once the bankruptcy is discharged. It is very important that you keep all of your bills on time current now though. That will decide wether or not you will qualify for a mortgage. They will ook at the bankruptcy as one mistake, but if you continue to show that you can't pay what you have on time it doesn't look good. Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have. tammy
