Monroe piercing

date Asked by backwoodbarbie 23 days ago, 1 answer.

I've had my monroe done for about 2 months and for some reason it still dont feel healed .

when I got it done it was pierced with a 14g. and it fell through so everymorning I wd have to push the ball back through the hole , so I changed it to a bigger...

ball and for awhile that helped then I switched to a 16g and the inside felt like it was swollen and the bottom of the post was covered by skin so I wd have to pop it through the bottom.

I recently changed it back to a 14

so wht should I do in reference to the size of the post and ball and any ideas on how to keep the swelling down ? or even why it keeps swelling up on the bottom side?

I have had my lower lip pierced for about 2-3 years, it fell though because the ball wasn't big enough, the bottom was probably swollen because you lip/skin is trying to heal itself. DONT Keep changing it! your lip has to get used to that jewery being there. I had mine pierced with a 12g. and now I wear a 16g because it's small and more comfortable. If I were you just keep a 14g in but put a bigger ball on, clean the inside of your lip. Even putting neosporin on the outside (were the ball is) help aswell, it might look dumb and shinny but it helps. Hope this helps
