Monro piercing-need answers please! <3

Okay so I need answers, on all the medical stuff about monro piercings, do they get infected easily, will they scar, how do I take care of it. Anything you know please tell me! I want one, and my mom was all like okay you can get one but I want to know...

they can get infected just like any piercing but when I had mine it never did and they will tell you to clean it with half mouthwash and half water and on the outside they will say dial soap non sented but to me that burned so I didnt do that... and if you take it out yess it will scar just like any other piercing but if you leave it at a 16 gauge it wont be that bad... that is all I was told whrn I got mine and oh yeah I didnt think it hurt at all to tell you the truth I think getting my ears pierced was worse! anymore questions just ask

I've got one and I did it my self an it's actually been one of my easiest piercings. Other then playing with it. I don't notice I have it.. Unlike my ears that are so picky about what ear rings I have in. And they hurt eceryonce in a while. I had mine done once before and when I took it out I only had scar tissue for a little while and it eventually got smaller. you just have to take care of it.. Mouth wash and antibacterial soap is all you need. And make sure they don't pierce it crooked.

does it hurt to kiss?

It will leave a scar to plan on that...

I have my Monroe pierced, you have to at least wait a month to make-out/kiss. how to clean it: use 1/4 teaspoon of Sea Salt (NOT REGULAR SALT) put in a small glass and put at least a cup of (Distilled Water) in it. and heat in the microwave for about 15-30 seconds. then get a cotton ball and dip it in the water and hold it on your Monroe for about 2 mins. then use a cotton swab dip it in the water then clean all the crusty's around the piercing. you need to get a new tooth brush cause your old one has bacteria on it. also get alcohol free mouth wash, and use (Toms organic toothpaste) you will need to take 2-4 ibuprofen every 6 hours to keep the swelling down and it will help if you have pain, and also clean it 3 times a day, Use LOTS! of ice to make the swelling go down, as well.

it does not hurt to kiss, but I would wait at least a month because everyone has 42 bad bacterias in there mouth and it could lead it to getting infected, So wait.. it take about 6 months-1 year to fully heal. so in the time period don't be playing with your piercing make sure to wash your hands with soap and water before touching it.

and I have had my lip pierced before as well, it didnt leave a really big scar but it left a little one which will go away in time.

I say dont do it because its stupid. just my opinion. but I would say it would be about the same risk as you getting your lip pierced just clean it 3 times a day and youll be fine
