I recently purchased a money tree plant. All the pics that I have seen, the trunk is tightly braided. Mine is not. Should I wrap it or will it tighten on its own?

Money trees will grow well without being braided. Its humans that braid them, and we've tended to live that "look".

That being said, as the tree grows, the trunks will fuse together, and as it gets big, you will probably not even notice that there was braids in the first place.
