Hi bjathome,
Money trees are native to South America and therefore prefer sunny, humid climates. Try to leave it in indirect sunlight. Water it until the soil is moist but there is no excess water on top of the soil. Also, spray it with a spray bottle regularly to "fake" humidity, if you're in a dry area.
I have heard stories about money trees' leaves going white or brown, but I'm not sure if it's a disease, or lack of proper water/sunlight.
