Mom who needs to back off

I asked to get a tattoo and my nose pierced . She's all why so ure boyfriend can b all over you? What the f*ck? I could understand if it was my tounge, but its not. 3 of my friends already have a tattoo and thats just because one of our friends sister's works at a tattoo place. She told me I already have to many pierceings. My ears are pierced 3 times and my belly button I also have a stud at the top of my ear. She for some reason she thinks its inappropreiate and it makes me look like a slut. Is that true?

I say, less piercings.
Later in the future, you might want a great job and that's the first thing they look at.
Just think twice before you do something like that.
Don't just do it because your friends are doing it and it looks 'cool'
Think about yourself and your future.

I have my tongue pierced and a tatoo on my pelvic bone and my parents still give me grief about it (and I'm 21 years old!). Our parents grew up in an entirely different generation than we did and they aren't used to how quote on quote 'WEIRD' kids are now a-days. If your under 18 I'm sorry but they do have say so in what you do to your body (it's a law for tatoos and piercings). But I completely understand your feeling on the matter...your just trying to express yourself and hell it looks cool. Once your 18 they really can't stop you from doing it, but if it's going to cause major problems in the household and they won't be somewhat lenient about it I'd back off from it until your older or out on your own. And I agree with Alexis1623...most jobs (even McDonalds/Burger King) don't allow most piercings/tatoos to be vissible when at work so play it safe in that area as well. This world is very superficial unffortunately.

I agree with your mom on the tattoo! You are so young, only 14 and tattoos last FOREVER unless you want to spend the money to get it removed in the future! Wait a couple of more years and see if you still want it! having your nose pierced doesn't mean you are a slut ... But you also have to respect your mom's decision in saying NO. Life isn't always fair... But hey in 4 years when you are 18 you won't have to ask for permission anymore! (4 years goes by FAST)

Parents are ashamed and embarrassed to be seen with you and when they are asked 'is that your daughter' they either blush and look down or completely deny knowing you all together.

You already have a bunch of holes in your body, the least you could do is spare your parents the bs look until you move out.

well your still young... adn I think you should hold out on the tattoo.. later on in life you might deside you dont want it... you wanting all of these peircings adn tattoos may just be a phase.. and if it is.. you dont want to make any permanant mistakes.
think about it.. if your sure that this is what you want... make sure you let your mom no that instead of arguing with her...
