I just dont know how to get started.
I was offered a chance at modeling but my mom didnt want to pay as much as was required.

If you want to model, you shouldn't have to pay thousands of dollars for some stupid workshop. Trust me, DO NOT pay for that. It's pointless, and it's not an agency.

You need to find a real agency. Start building up a portfolio and submit it to agencies. If they want you, you won't have to pay them ANYTHING. AT ALL. They only get a percentage of the money you earn when THEY find you amodeling gig.

It sounds like one of those lame Casablanca or JRP classes. DON'T take them. Seriously, they will rip you off, give you lame classes you'll never use again and then you will never get called back for casting.

1st take pix of yourself. Get a portfolio ready. And then try to see if you can model for AMBERCROMBIE

Its a start somewhere

Oh really?

im getting started in modeling soon, I sent a pic of me to "One Source Talent" and said if they were interested, they'd call back in a week. and a week passed, and no one called and my dreams broke. then they called. =D

and the lady said that the dude thatw as going to be my guy picked my picture from a line up. and my mum and her made a date to meet with me, and now im going to do it...

but THERE not the modeling agency, they find agencies perfect for u. and yeah... you do have to play a little. depending on how much you want to get into the industry, ranging from $200.00-$1,200.00.

but think of it this way.

if you send it in to them. and they call ya,
they picked you, so you must have SOME potential!
