I think it sets children, young girls especially, up for a dangerous view on life. Like the only reason for their existence is to be pretty and well liked. Modeling and pageants can warp a child's sense of reality and make them grow up too fast. Kids just need to be kids as long as they can. If they make an informed decision to get into modeling in their early teens, then it's their goal, not their parents' goal pushed on them.
My daughter is 3 and got first place in modeling she gets full paid college tuition, she gets photo shoots and so much more.
Any my son is 4 and he wont most beautiful baby in Lehigh Valley in 2005 and got photo shoot and so much more.
Its fun but then agian it dont let your child live life there is nothing wrong with it but dont let it take over your childs life. It teaches them a lot of stuff.
