Missing a pill?

if you miss taking your birth control pill for 1 or 2 days what happens?

You are not protected from pregnancy. You will ovulate. You have a very high chance of getting pregnant until you get your period again. Birth control pills take about a week for their full effect to kick in.

you have a chance to get pregnant, if you only miss one day... re-read the directions that came with your pills, but if you only missed one you can take two at the same time the next day... if you missed more than one you should wait until you get your period again and start it up again. if you stop taking the pill you will get a darker brown discharge, that is almost like blood, this is called spotting. it is normal, so don't get all freaked out about it. it'll stop in a few days.

honestly your fine. just use a condom when you have sex. the only thing that might effect you is either you might have a bleed through which means youll not have your period but have spotting depending on how your body reacts to birth control or your period might me thrown off for the next cycle. good luck
