You can definately take a test! (You can take home tests 2weeks after conception and blood tests 1week after). Home tests are around 90% accurate if they give a negitive result and almost definately correct if it's positive. Or go to the doctors and get a blood test done which give more accurate results, but they usually will want you to have taken a home test.
If it was heavy bleeding for a few days or very heavy bleeding then it's likely to have been a miscarriage, or an obstruction in the cervix (this would be very heavy bleeding), or an irregular period and you are not pregnant. If it was light-moderate bleeding then it was probably just implantation bleeding which happens at around 1-2weeks (but can happen later) and is where the fertilised egg implants itself into the uterus wall.
