Hi benny306,
Sometimes lifestyle changes can help you get out of the funk you're in. Do you eat healthily and exercise regularly? Do you sleep in a normal pattern? Do you have outlets for your stress? If you find that depression is becoming too much to bear or you are thinking of harming yourself, seeing a licensed therapist may be a good idea. Even if they don't prescribe anything right away, just talking might help. If you both mutually decide that antidepressants would help you, than don't be embarrassed to take that route. Some people find it very effective.
Good luck.

How should I treat my depression?

I am incredibly depressed (I don't want to go into details because there's not enough room on the page). Should I try to get prescription medication for it or a herbal alternative or should I just do nothing and feel bad?
