Why does minnie spin?

I have a teacup chihuahua can you explain why she spins in circles when she gets excited?

No but it sounds sooo cute lol. Is she chasing her tail? My dog goes around in circles when she gets excited too but she isnt a chiuahua.

Well there may be another reason other then being happy.

1. her glands need to be cleaned in her bottom
2 she may have worms
3. she is a very cute dog and very entertaining

I have a 130 lb GSD...who does it, too...but only when I come home from work...

It's an expression of HAPPY in this house.

Usually it's something dogs do when they get excited. I had a dog at my shelter who chewed his tail when he got excited, it was actually kind of sad. Luckily the spinning doesn't hurt her

When dogs get excited the will do all kinds of cute tricks, so your dog is just doing a cute trick so no worries.
