Honey...this little dog is in competition with you, as "leader" of your pack. He'[s "marking" (yes, crapping also is a way of marking) over your scent on your clothes.
My suggestion is that when you can't watch him, you crate him. Also, he needs to see you as HIS leader, so for a while, YOU do the feeding, the walking, etc, so he sees you as his alpha. When you feed him, make him sit and wait. There is a type of training just for these occasions...NILIF (Nothing in Life is Free)...that's why you make him "earn" what he loves...food, toys, play...making him sit or down before he gets these things does WONDERS in changing how they think...and how they view you.

hmm never heard of a dog that went in a litter box, but here's a couple of things I tried with my cat...
Try changing the litter box (different type entirely, get one that's bigger maybe, or lower? I dunno what dogs like)
If it has a cover, take off the cover,
If it doesnt have a cover, try putting a cover
Make sure there's two litter boxes
Move it to a different location if possible
Try changing brand of litter
Clean out box as often as possible
If this doesnt work, well maybe you want to take the dog outside to poop, or ask the vet...
In the meanwhile, keep your clothes locked in the closet...
I would have to agree with phrannie...sounds like he also needs to learn the word "No" ...U can't train him by yelling or hitting, this should never happen...he will only learn to be negative...& learn to be violent himself...Praise him when he does what's right...perhaps even a treat too. I trained 2 chihuahuas to a litter box...it is not hard to do...this was way back when this training to a litter box was never heard of...it worked out very well for all of us, you do need to try to keep the litter box clean...if there is too much waste in the box he'll be looking for a new place to do his business...dichihuahua

Min pin problem
Send me Fun Mail
so my wife got a miniature pincher. He is two years old and all in all a good little dog, but when we took him he was potty trainer to go in a litter box. For a while he was great but the last couple months he has been shitting on my clothes. Even if I keep them up off the floor he will pull them down. What do I do about him?
