Hun your 13, your body hasn't developed properly yet. Your probably still quite tight so yes it's going to hurt.
If you havent started your period yet then its a sure sign your not yet ready for sex.
However if you have, try using tampons and fingering yourself to loosen up.
Perhaps he wasnt pushing hard enough, for the first time you just have to grin and bare it! You hymen (or "cherry" is pretty thick. Or even better...wait until your older to have sex?
