Just multiply 3% by the number of years. This will give you the total change in percent.

Then find out that percent of the starting number, and subtract it.

Example: 10 years
10 years X 3% per year = 30% change
30% of 2,000,000 (.3 X 2,000,000) is 600,000
2,000,000 - 600,000 is 1,400,000.

Answer: 1,400,000

Hope that helps.
