I dont believe so.

It is free, it harms no one, you cannot catch STD's from it and it FEELS GOOD!

However, some religions do regard this as sinful but 99% of people still do it and most of the remaining 1% are liars!

HA! Just my own opinion.

If it feels good and you are harming no one, go for it without any guilt.

happy

God gave us our natural sexual desires, however, Satan interferes and intervenes in those desires, corrupting the original design.

It is my opinion, that if a person is not interfered with, they will not have desires that cannot be controlled simply by denial.

However, if a person is intervened with, in what ever form, or possibly if there are strong sexual spirits in the bloodline, then, they will be dealing with a spirit of lust, that drives them.

God never intended for us to be driven by anything. Ideally, we are to be in complete control of our minds, our bodies, and our desires.

However, this is not the case, in far too many instances.

Whenever we have abnormal desires of any kind, we can be assured that Satans footprints are causing it, whether we are aware of it or not.

To relieve ourselves of unnatural desires, we have to fast, and seek God, to be free. His power, is the only power in the world, that can defeat Satan, in our lives, our minds, our homes, our societies.

We need to understand what is holy, and what is profane.

This generation, is under seige by the evil one, as never before.

We see his effects everywhere.

In the pulpit, in our homes, our marriages, our families, our country.

Nothing is immune from his touch.

We can be free, but, it requires great effort on our part.

The bible says, that Whom the Son, sets free, is free indeed.

I have personally found this to be true, in my own life, as I have sought for this freedom in many areas. I have just about achieved it, in all areas, unless the Lord shows me something else that needs to be dealt with.

God wants us to be in control, of every area of our lives, Or I should say, that he wants every area of our lives to be under the control of the Holy spirit.

And to understand what holy means, we have to study, Gods word.

We have to understand his nature and character.

We have to develop discernment to teach us what is right and what is wrong, as far as God is concerned.

I see the world kinda like Pandoras box.

Evil has been unleashed, and is very hard to contain.

However, It can be.

Gods word tells us that he desires that we become overcomers.

We can have salvation, without being an overcomer.

We can have much sin in our lives, and not even be aware of it.

The Holy Spirit puts his finger on it, little by little, and expects us to deal with it, when he does.

This is the second work of grace in our lives.

Bringing us to deliverance.

That is why there is so much confusion in the body of Christ.

God offers salvation.

It is free.

However, the cleansing comes afterward, in most cases.

That is why a Christian can still be called a Christian, and not be pure.

We have to learn what pure is.

We have to desire it with all our hearts.

We have to seek God to obtain that purity.

His power is available.

We have to want it.

When sin starts to get uncomfortable, we can be assured that the Holy Spirit is working in our lives, convicting us of sin.

He does not condemn us, Satan does that.

God convicts.

He is gentle.

Satan is demanding.

God is holy and pure.

Satan is unholy and impure.

We gradually learn the difference.

If we are complacent in our sins, we will never grow in grace.

We will stay stuck.

We can be free.

We can be led by the Holy spirit.

OR, we can stay in the pig pen, till we come to our senses.

I answered a similar question before (see the link above). There are other questions of a similar nature on Fun Advice, and I think it's worth looking back over what people wrote before.

I just wanted to point out that it has nothing to do with being 'sad'!

Many people in loving relationships with a healthy sex life still masturbate.

It is a natural urge which is generally only supressed by learnt behaviour. Either through parents general attitude towards sex or christian brainwashing while growing up.

This is where the guilt comes from.

It is worth understanding that humans are not born believing masturbation is a sin, sad or in some way dirty.

If this is sinful against God, why did god give us the ability to do it?
After all, do christians believe that he made us in his own image? happy

So you can't have sex before marriage, and you can't masturbate, and you can't get married before 18. Wow. No wonder Columbine.

I personally don't think masturbation is a sin. I will sometimes feel guilty afterwords though. Like others have said, I think this is just because of your upbringing by your parents and the influences of the church that sex is bad. Masturbation is like sex but completely different. Also, what if you're masturbating so you don't have sex. What if you're masturbating because you don't want to commit adultery? This makes masturbation a much more appropriate idea. Anyways, many many people masturbate in their teens and early twenties. At least guys do. A survey polling 520 fifteen year olds said that they masturbated almost ten times a week. The results were similar for ages 12-20. http://www.jackinworld.com/library/surveys/pub.html Conclusively, I'd also like to add that masturbation is a very natural act. Young males aren't taught how to masturbate. It just happens. Just like how you learn to crawl, walk, run.
