I believe that when one masturbates, you're pleasuring yourself. I'm Christian too and have a different way of looking at things compared to most people. My view is that when something is done out of greed or to cause harm or bad consequence then it's a sin. Pleasuring yourself with no bad effect on anything is not a sin. That's my take on things.

I presume you're asking specifically about the christian religion. In which case, no. Fundies who say it is base this on Genesis 38:9, in which Onan spills his seed on the ground, which God is pretty unhappy about. This is a pretty weak link, especially given Onan wasn't even masturbating.
