Is masterbating a sin?

Please take a minute to think of what masterbation is. You are 'pleasuring' yourself, and to what end? Do people really feel less 'horny' when they are done? possibly for the first couple of hours, but then they want to do it again, and again, because yes, physically it feels good. But, it becomes old, because our bodies where not made for that. They are made for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman, so what is the next step? Those kinds of desires. And most of the time a person masterbates, they are viewing pornography which I dont need to say is very addicting and makes people more depressed then happy. So, it is addicting, leads to other more serious things, causes people to be more 'horny' and, to tikotanabi, it DOES NOT cause problems down there! When semen is expelled, your body is stimulated to make more. Of course your body is always making a little, but it gets reabsorbed into your body. Sex is Sacred, something meant for only a lawfully wedded man and wife.

NO WHERE in the Bible, is masturbation mentioned, or condemned for that matter.

Some Christians believe so yes - but most do not feel that way anymore. Masterbation is normal, healthy, and part of human nature. There is nothing wrong with it.

Strange, since I've never really heard of anyone that liked mixing sacredness with sex...kind of screws your whole religion over.

***He commanded Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth.***

That was while they were still in Eden. And he didn't say 'replenish' ...they were the FIRST people. And 'reproducing' or 'having sex' isn't a COMMANDMENT at all.

All of Gods commandments are given to us so we can become more holy, more sacred, right? more pure? He commanded Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth. If there is another way to do that besides sexual inercourse... maybe I am generalizing again... oh wait, no I am pretty sure the only way they could reproduce is by sexual relations.

masterbation is normal, healthy and natural
almost everyones does it, even religious people do it
it releases feel good hormones and helps to releaves stress among many other things like helping reduce the risk of prostate cancer and other things
its prefectly normal, theres nothing at all wrong with doing it
thre bible, written by man has been re-worded for centureis, always adding new things and stupid things as sins
all because some poeplle thought it was wrong, and put it in the book
but there is NOTHING wrong with it at all, nothing
so feel free to do it

I believe that it is. Becuase 1.Our Fathers (GOD) desire is for us to have pure thoughts , not violance, explicit sex ect.
Sex is holy ritual given to a man and woman joined together by God.
2.In the 10 commandmants God tells us that we must not desire
When you desire something badly you will do anything possible to sadisfy this need.
Mastrubation is the desire for Sex.
And I agree that it when you no longer find sadisfaction fom it it will lead to the real actual deed. SEX!!

Though you may hear that this is healthy and normal one does not have to act on your desires. God has given us the power to be victorious over our natural sinful self (desires).

Thus I believe that it is a sin

No... it is a REMEDY for the desire for sex...
