Q: margin borders on document

I have microsoft office word 2003. whenever I opened a document, it would be plain (the way I like it). but recently I downloaded an attachment from my teacher and these half-squares are on the corners of the page. im assuming their name is margin borders. but ever since then I cant get rid of them!!! does anyone know how??
p.s. I have attached a picture of what im talking about.
please help!!!

A: There is no picture attached to look at so it's hard to say - I suggest you going through all the option and there should be margin settings you can change.
