Making my parents happy.

My parents are never happy with me, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. What can I do to make them love me?

They might just like being tough on you so you'll continue doing right??

you cant make someone love you, they are probably happy wih but just not showing it, its call tough love

Your parents might not show emotion when they try.
You can't please them, just be yourself. I'm sure there is nothing that you're doing wrong since they are giving you tough love to begin with. They only want the best of you and they want to look out for your best interest. They don't show emotion since that's why you feel that they don't love you.
They love you in a different way. It's hard to explain but, since they don't show emotion, that makes it hard. Just be yourself and make yourself happy.

all parents are different, you know, and some parents don't show their kids how much they love them. I've never heard my parents say that they loved me (except when they were drunk). don't take everything they say personally because you'll become a perfectionist, and most of the time, that isn't good. just be yourself and tell your parents that you ARE an individual and no one's perfect.

try doing something for them that you know they will really appreciate (cooking dinner, cleaning house, etc). I started doing this, and now, my parents say they couldn't live w/o me.
