Making a video

I want to make a video, I've already made plenty of videos for youtube, but they are all pictures and music. I want to make one that also has video clips in it. But not like home videos, but videos that are like on youtube and stuff like that, so I can...

make a kind of tribute video, but not just pictures. How do I get the video clips on my computer from a place like youtube? And how can I cut them down to the length I want, and add them into Imovie??

Ever heard of something called FireWire? It's a cable software that comes with your digital video camera. This allows you to upload video's and stuff from your camera, usually in .avi format. Then use something like pinnacle pro or camtasia studio to edit your movie. I hope this has helped.
