Macbook help!

before heading out.. Asked by darkxluna 5 months ago, 1 answer.

I've had a Macbook laptop for a little over two years. The first year was fine. Almost exactly a year ago, my CD drive somehow broke, and I had to take it to the Mac store, where they fixed it for free (they seemed like they knew it was a common problem...

and tried to play it off). Three months ago, my hard drive crashed, and I had to spend my life savings (no exaggeration) to fix it. While it was getting fixed, the Mac store guy told me my CD drive was broken, and it would cost $500 to fix it (ridiculous, right?). I never fixed it.

Two days ago, I turned on my computer in the morning, and left it on (as usual). When I came home five hours later, the computer was on, but the screen wouldn't turn on - it stays completely black. It has nothing to do with the power cord, because it was plugged in. And since the HD is brand new, it should have nothing to do with that.

Does anyone know what is wrong with it? Or how to fix it?

My mac had the same problem I think, but the only way I fixed it was by taking it to the mac store. Sorry but I think that may be the only way to fix it sad
