One of My favourite Animated Character Asked by friendlyguy 7 months ago, 1 answer.

I am planning to get a macbook pro 15'. Will the macbook pro be able to play all the high end graphics intensive games around without giving any system requirements error on dual boot with windows vista basic? have you tried out crysis, grand theft auto etc.
what will I really gain by spending on this and what are your experiences on macbook pro.
Buy macbook pro or should I buy a windows laptop?

I would think a Macbook Pro would cope okay, but may not be able to play the most high-end intensive games under Vista Basic. But then, neither is any laptop running Windows Vista Basic. Laptop's generally are not capable of playing most high-end computer games - thats why you need specialist gaming laptops. A Macbook Pro does have a separate, dedicated graphics card in it, so that will help a lot - but if you are choosing to run Vista Basic, that is going to bog the computer down quite a bit. I'd say you'll have more chance of success by using WIndows XP.

If you just want a dedicated gaming machine, I'd probably suggest getting a gaming-specialized PC laptop. But if you have other requirements of it, then for sure, go with the Macbook Pro - just be aware there might be some limitations.
