Good lyrics for a new band?

Hey. Starting band...Not good at writing lyrics. Does anyone who's good at writing poetry have good lyrics for me. If so send em and we'll give you credit if we use them.

Why not just try to write your own lyrics? It kinda makes you seem like...a cripple when you take other peoples lyrics... unless you're doing a cover, but you need to learn to make your own songs...

I agree. But then again, I'm writing the music to go with it...Asking for help isn't that bad if I'm admitting to not writing it my self right ?I mean I said I'd give em credit. It' s not that I can't write lyrics. I'm good at poetry. But I don't quite like sharing my own personal thoughts and experiences too well. I'm open for constructive criticism.
