I lucid dream sometimes, you have to know the difference between dreams and reality, what you have to do is write down the dreams you have with detail so next time your dreaming you can tell this is too strange to be a dream

Lucid dreaming is when you are aware that you're dreaming, but that awareness doesn't waken you. The ones people want are the ones when you are able to change things in your dream because you want them to (like turning a light on or off or changing the colour of a wall) and the change both doesn't wake you and it feels real, just like the normal dream where you know you're dreaming only after you wake.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. I dream like this once a week at least, but then I've always had very vivid dreams.

The idea is that by learning to control your dreams you learn to control your subconscious mind, which is a great aid to ritual magicians. (Like what weight training is to body builders.)

The usual advice is to keep a meticulous dream diary to train the brain to let you know that you want to be aware of your dreams. For those to whom it doesn't come naturally I'm told it can take a long time and much effort.

Just remember, the dream isn't the thing in itself because you're making what you want to see.
