How to build my confidence for good?

11.13.09 Asked by babyangel22 about 1 year ago, 8 answers.

I have really really low self esteem and confidence in myself.
Everytime I feel good about myself or something, something happens and I just have the worse feeling about myself and I hate it.
Im pretty ugly, but yet I tell myself I'm pretty.
I try...

building that confidence... but it just doesnt work.
One thing someone says, I go from 10 to 0.
I don't know what to do...
help..?

When you have confidence, people think you are pretty. I am back and forth with the confidence problem myself. I have found that when I make an effort and think that I am pretty myself, people respect me more. Remember these tips: always stand tall, walk straight, keep your head up, look people in the eyes when you talk to them, smile all the time. Also, a well dressed ugly person suddenly becomes more attractive

Look at you. Your beautiful. You have full lips, dark hair, dark eyes, great skin. You just need to change your style a little bit. Wear some lipstick to bring those lips out

Dear babyangel22,
From your statement you say that you are ugly but try to tell yourself you are pretty. This tells me you don't believe what you are telling yourself. The whole idea is to say it and believe it. Others say you are pretty...are we all liars? What do we have to gain by saying you are pretty? As you can see your thinking is faulty and this can and will change. When things happen you blame yourself...ask yourself where you got all this power to cause these things to happen??? You don't have that power so when bad things happen how in the world could it possibly be your fault??? Again faulty thinking. So perhaps it's not self-esteem problem but a common sense one? When you are facing a new situation it is fear of the unknow...how it will turn out and probably not so much about self-esteem. So you should try to experience new things as often as possible. This will not only get you more comfortable with the unknown but you will see that you are actually brave and adventuress. The world is at your finger tips and you need to experience it first hand. Speak with a school counsellor and they can give you a lot of tips and some really good advice.
Sue...good luck

Just be happy with yourself dont let other peoples opinions phase you. If anyone makes a sh*t comment towards your personality or looks they arent worth getting you down. Once you acknowledge your beautiful (you are you have hott lipsthat) and keep your head up show people you are happy with yourself. Youll have people wishing they are as hott as you. Love yourself it makes all the difference!
