white carbs do some of the most damage...like white pasta, rice, bread...ect...along with excessive sugar.
candy, soda, beer(if you drink any)...white breads, high saturated fat cheese!...drink lots of water!
Here's the key to losing a tummy:
1.)You need to cut back on calories (just by a little since you have a fast metabolism)
2.)Eat small portions 6-8 times per day.(healthy food: whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean chicken etc.)
3.)STOP DOING CRUNCHES!
- You heard me right, you need to do cardio and lose the excess fat before you tone or you will build muscle underneath your fat which will make you look even bulkier!
4.)Aerobics(cardio) 30 mins.-1.5 hours three to four days per week.(depending on what you can handle). This includes jogging, treadmill, bicycling, and jumping rope are great, effective examples.
*In 1-3 weeks you will lose most of the fat around your tummy.
*after fat is lost proceed to step 5.
5.) I want you to stay on low-cal, eating 6-8 meals per day diet.
6.) Start doing crunches again- about 3 sets of 20-25 reps each set. This is the time to build lean muscle in that area to get a toned look.
7.)Continue to do cardio at least 3 times per week 30mins per day.
Follow steps 1-4 if your just looking to lose the fat temporarily, or 1-7 for results that will stick.
-I guarantee this will produce results for you if you are dedicated and stay consistent.
-I personally use a VERY similar routine (slightly tweaked for different fitness needs) when I need to make weight for a fight(kickboxing) and I used to do this to make weight for wrestling tournaments the healthy, safe way.
*Fitness and health is a lifestyle and thinking of your new eating habits and exercise routines as part of your lifestyle (instead of a temporary diet and exercise routine) will greatly increase your chance of success.
*Remember to always get checkups by a doctor regularly and be sure your healthy enough to do this and any exercise routine.
(I'm very serious this isn't just a disclaimer, I've known of many cases of people's health being seriously and negatively affected by exercising with unknown health conditions)
I hope you will try this out and let me know how it is going and contact me if you have any more questions.
Stay motivated
-Tony
