Losing weight at a young age?

Asked by coll349 over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

I'm 14 and I want to lose 7 pounds I'm 5'6 and weigh 117 pounds. I play volleyball almost everyday and I'm athletic too. Do I need to lose the weight or am I okay to stay the same? Please help me! Thanks a ton!

I would say you don't need to lose the weight, given your height, age, and level of physical activity.

At 5'6'' your weight is fairly decent. if you do lose weight, it'd be from the physical activity, but after a while, you will gain muscle, and stay about the same weight. so i would just do what you are doing now, and don't worry about your weight.
