Ya know 140 is a good weight for people 5'4 and taller. You are young. In a couple years your body will mold itself. Just be okay with who you are and have fun.

Weight loss is actually a simple concept...you have to burn more calories than you take in...If you aren't losing weight, then you are eating too much...so eat more salad and skip the potato all together (a potato is a carb...that is, it turns to sugar in the body, and stores itself for hard times.)

Doing your eating in the day allows you to burn more calories (it doesn't take much energy to sleep)...skip the night time snack...

sounds to me like your eating habits are the problem, you need to eat breakfast and you need to eat fruits and veggies. What about excersise? are you in any sports?

From what I've read, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and having bananas and drinking room-temperature water is very good - if able, only drink water at your meals and eat nothing after 8 at night - some snack info:

Here are 22 portable and healthy snacks that make the list of dietitian's favorites:

Half a peanut butter sandwich on whole-wheat bread
Low-sugar, whole-grain granola bars that have at least 3 grams of fiber
Whole-grain crackers or whole-wheat tortilla with hummus or nut butter
A handful of unsalted or lightly salted dry-roasted nuts
Individual unsweetened applesauce with a few dry-roasted walnuts
Small apple with 2 teaspoons peanut butter or 1 ounce low-fat cheese
Ants on a log -- celery with nut butter, topped with raisins or other dried fruit
Half of a single-serving string cheese with a small piece of fruit or a few whole-grain crackers
4-ounces to 6-ounces of low-fat yogurt or yogurt treat
High-fiber dry cereal with a few nuts or seeds and dried fruit (put this in a baggie for a make-your-own snack pack)
Individual packs of carrots, celery sticks, or apple slices, with a protein source like a tablespoon of nuts, nut butter, or low-fat cheese
Pretzels and low-fat cheese
Whole-wheat cracker sandwiches made with natural nut butters
1 ounce of lean meat and a few whole-grain crackers
3 ounces low-fat or fat-free cottage cheese and a few whole-grain crackers
1 whole graham cracker and 1 teaspoon nut butter
Raw vegetables with 1/4 cup low-fat ranch dressing
100-calorie pack of low-fat popcorn rich in whole grains and fiber
Handful of tortilla chips and salsa
100-calorie ice cream treats
Skinny latte (made with low-fat or skim milk)
Small bowl of whole-grain cereal with skim milk or low-fat yogurt

Take care !!

uh first of all your better off having a breakfast because then you can consume your calories for your day and you wont be hungry.. and have 3 small meals 3 small snacks throughtout the day.. like try to take in 800-1000 calories a day

do your body weight times 13 and that how much calories you have to take in to stay the same weight that you are and remember that your body automatically burns 70% of your calorie intake just with your digestive system/cardiovascualr system etc I also suggest running for about 25-30 mins a day and your should be in really good shape in no time..

also do simple workouts like abs and pushups to get a flat tummy and nice core

try the south ceach diet I t really works.
eat breakfast its the most important meal!! fruit if preferable. eat very little cereals and if so with low fat milk ( I know its gross btut worth it) try special K cereal. and that it no more grains just once a day. stay away from potatoes, rice, ect. if you eat eggs eat them w.o the yolk ( yellow part) only the white part yellow has all the fat. little salt, and healthy snaks, but eat do no starve urself keep some dried frui or low calorie snack around and eat one once every 3 hrs . like sugarfree jello. anything just to keep your metabolism working. at dinner eat smaller portions do not eat past 8 pm you body gains more calories at night. and excersize like normall. just do not starve urself thats the worse you can do. ull gain twice the calories for the things that you do eat if you starve. srly the south beach diet does miracles so I have the book it really works happy

you can gain weight by not eating breakfast. if you wanna cut out a meal cut out dinner. the earlier you eat your meals the better. have four small meals a day and that will be better like 300 cals each. one of them can be a snack.. like the 4th one can be your evening (6-7pm) snack. it could be like lots of fruits dip it in low fat vanilla yogurt. its delicious.
