Why can't felons get jobs?

why is it that there seems to be no available jobs for men who have been convicted of a felony? doesn't it make sense that our government would want to occupy a criminals time rather than leave them free to commit more crime?

I applaud you for trying to become a productive citizen. It is very hard to find a good job after a convition, but I think its wrong for you to put the blame on the government. You made the choice to do whatever it was that ended in your conviction. Good Luck.
