11.13.09 Asked by babyangel22 9 months ago, 3 answers.

So... I have this English paper.
Says to talk to your grandparents or older neighbors explaining what it was really like back in the 1950s for an average citizen/teenager.
Talk about school, teenagers, life, television, technology, athletics, etc.

I...

don't really have anyone I can talk to about this...

Can you tell me about how it was in the 1950s?

I think there were less strict about smoking and drinking I think. They didn't have computers or cell phones and they had black and white tv's. A lot of the girls wore dresses too...I'm not to sure bout the 1950's I'm like scrapping my mind bout everything I know and all I can think of is Grease the musical hahah

It's a tough paper, as anyone who was a teen in the 50s would be close to 70 now. They are getting scarce! I wasn't there, but if you go to seniors centres and interview the seniors you will probably get some really good info. Good luck!
