Little boy down the street

Asked by dl03081990 9 months ago,

from around november 06 to april 08 I had a drug problem.. I was 16-18 at the time. in april it got very out of hand and I was forced into the crises center then from there decided I wanted and needed to go to rehab. I did the whole rehab and recovery...

house thing, and it really helped a lot. I'm finishing school, work, and have a savings account that I dont touch--which if anybody has been in the same situation you know that thats a big step in the right direction for only having a year out of that life. having money is a big temptation to go back. the only problem is, I live in a very small town. today my mom came to me and asked if I told a little boy mark that I did drugs and ran away so don't do it. I was completely lost because I have no idea who she is talking about then she told me he lived down the street and told me which house. I knew a little girl lived there but never knew a little boy lived there so apparently I never could have said anything like that, not that even in my worst times I would ever approach any child and say anything like that. plus, it seems that when I would have said it I would have been an adult so why would I have the need to run away? my mom then explained that he told that to my cousin who is in the same grade and they got into a fight and she hit him and she got into trouble. so now do I not only look bad in front of the people down the street, its my family too. what would you do in this situation? part of me wants to approach his parents and say something, but granted with my history I wouldn't get too far and I'm not too sure as of what I would want to say, or if I should say anything at all. sorry this is so long guys!
