How bad do lip piercings hurt?

How bad do they hurt? Just curious, I don't know how much I want one yet. Lol, that's if my parents would let me, and also... do they leave a pretty big hole when you take them out?

it doesn't hurt that bad, just be sure to keep it clean so it wont get infected

I had a girlfriend who was TOTALLY HOTT get one- the end result? Crusty, red, irritated, infected lip. Totally disgusting.

well I didn't get mine professionally done my aunt did it for me, but I ordered a kit for it.
and it killed pretty bad but luckily it didn't get infected. and no they don't leave big holes, depends which gauge you get, I got 14.
and I got it done on both sides of my lip.

Ew! Lol, I know the risks, but I just wanted to know more about it. I most likely won't be able to get one anyway because of my parents. But yeah thanks for the heads up.

It really depends on your pain tolerance to tell you the truth.
I used to have mine done, I did it myself (which I regret).
I got tired of it after about 6 months, so I took it out. Got boring and un-cool.
It turned out good, because everything was dis-infected.
BUT, a lot of people have healing problems and end up with an infection.
Get it professionaly done if you do, and before you go, make sure its what you want. It is afteral another hole in your body.

They don't really hurt to get done..they are shoving a sharpened metal rod through your face. I just felt a little pressure..but..when I went outside to the cold wind...I wanted to rip my lip off...it throbbed so bad bc the metal was FREEZING. If you take care of it, it doesn't get infected and gross. MIne is 14G. also...there will be a hole though..I mean...you have something through your lip...*shrugs* I don't regret it...here's a close up picture of the hole

do they deaden the area first for lower lip piercings?? or does this depend on where you go??
I have wanted it done for a long time I have a few tatoos and to be honest they didn't hurt being done..
someone reassure me and tell me its a breeze...

they dont hurt. the worst part was the clamp ant listerene. I have 13 piercings and it was the least painful of all of them
