How to stop biting my lips?

I bite my lips until they bleed. There always sore and after I bite my lips I lick them.I have tried to stop but I just cant help myself and I do it involuntarily anyways. so my question is HOW the fcuk do I stop biting my lips?

I had that problem too... but now I dont.! just eat a lot of gum! keep gum in you mouth all day long! and you'll get used to it and you wont bite your lips anymore

I don't know, I bite my lips all the time. I chew on the insides of my cheeks until they bleed too (that sounds kinda gross in words). people say it looks like I got punched because my lips are always nasty.
but...isn't hard to chew on your lips with a lip ring?
just curious.
oh, and it kinda helps sometimes if, after biting them, you don't lick them. use chapstick or something. but I've found that spit dries them out more.

It do it a lot too. I try to stop myself doing it (very hard to do) and wear plenty lip balm
