actually alcohol will dry a piercing out, claire's makes a really good cleaning solution if you decide you want to do it. just be aware that your lips/mouth can be a real tender area, the swelling and discomfort can interfere with things like eating, drinking, kissing lol. certain foods could irritate it worse. and of course, the downside of facial piercings, be aware that it can prevent you from getting a job, will heal quickly if you have to take it out, and then if you decide to take it out and leave it out, you will always have a scar. im not trying to discourage you, I've got a couple facial piercings myself, but I've also got scars on my eyebrow and nose lol

Don't use alchol, or salt anything..It's all about the anti-bacteral mouth wash, the person who does the piercing will tell you that.
