Lil wayne

Now I am not saying I hate Lil Wayne, but personally I do not see what is so special about him. Like some of his songs I like, for example Tie My Hands, and Go DJ, because they have cool beats, and I get that. Personally I think other rappers are so...

much better and now he's trying to pull of rock. But I am interested to know what is your reason for liking Lil Wayne?

everybody has a different opinion on a singer. some people like him, some people dont. I kinda like him.

I like his songs.

I think some of his songs are good but some people are like waaay too obsessed with him. I only know the popular ones. like: got money, colors, pop champagne. blah blah blah.

I love lil wayne!!! hes an awesome singer. I dont think that there is one song that I hate that he sings

I think lil wayne's overrated

Lil' Wayne followed in the footsteps of Biggie and Jay-Z. He doesn't write. That's what got him attention. When he started out with Cash Money Records he was just cameo's in other songs like Juvenile and the Hot Boys. He got big after his 5 underground albums called Squad Up Vol.1-5 in which he takes other peoples beats and raps over them. Freestyle, no writing.

And he's just gotten really good at it over the years. Lyrically he's amazing. He calls himself an alien. Just look up the lyrics to Cannon or any of the stuff NOT on The Carter albums. All the mixtapes he's put out are pretty much freestyles.

I do think he's overplayed, and he's not better than Jay-Z. But he has the potential to be.
