losing my friendship or hurting me. He told me last night that he doesnt want to risk anything so we should just be friends. I dont want to be just friends I want to be more and I dont think I can be just friends. What do I do. Someone please help.

You already dated...its obvious he doesnt like you that way, and his excuse is he doesnt want to hurt you again. As tinatodder said, you cant force someone to be with you. Since you have feelings for him, being friends isnt going to work. If you dont want to continue hurting, you need to cut your loss, and move on.
