I don't know what to do... any advice... by the way I'm 15...

And What is the point of life? I mean your born, you live, you die, its like how you live but what is the point of life?

Send this to a friend

What's the point of life? There is no point. There doesn't need to be some grand objective purpose in order for life to be worth simply living.

If you really think about the grand scheme of thing's, there is no point. Your right, we're born, we live, we die. So how about instead of focusing on the first and last in that series, focus on the middle one. Living. If we have no reason, why not have fun along the way? Don't let little things get you down.

Oh, and wait till it's your time to die, don't end your life now. You'll get your turn to see what it's like. In the mean time, live it up!

Once you are dead, that's it. Nothing else. What ever chemical reactions in your brain that enables your consienceness will simply cease. There is no afterlife, so ending your life now would be a great tragedy and waste.

fascination of death isnt wrong but wanting to die is...there is a big difference... anyway your not alone on the fascination of it, I've read a lot about the old capital punishments around the world and wa fascinated on the methods and the time it took for death to set in...also murders, suicides etc etc. I guess its just you like to know about it and all so its not that bad, just dont do anything.

as for why were alive its simple, to pass on our genes...thats it really... everything else we experience is a kinda bonus to it...

'What is the meaning of life?'

The meaning of life IS eternity. This fragment which we currently inhabit 'called life' is just a part of eternity which is but a classroom from which we graduate to other classrooms along the path toward Oneness in God which is our eternal destiny. Some may reach It sooner than others but all will eventually.

What is the purpose of life?

To be born, learn and experience, and die -- advancing to the next level or incarnation.

Eventually, when we have incarnated enough times to learn all that we wanted to learn, then, we will gravitate back into the Oneness of God.

'Why are we here?'

We are here because 'here' is where we chose and choose to be.

The meaning that life holds is to offer us the ability to have the stage wherein we can fulfill the purpose for why we choose to be here.

What? You don't remember choosing to be here or why?

Your lack of memory does not negate the fact of it, it only demonstrates that you are not yet in tune with your real self -- the 'I' that has existed since the beginning of physical creation and will exist until rejoining the Oneness of 'I'.

Purpose and Effort

Our Purpose is to Be!

Our Effort is to Grow! -

1. To gain Knowledge, Experience
and Understanding.

2. To share That We Are!

I choose

I chose to be born, – to live or die,
Even the sex, that would be I;
I chose the race, from which to appear,
Also my wealth, my health and my fear.

I chose my trials and stumbling blocks,
And the legs I would use, in all of those walks;
I chose my sadness, my joy and my love,
I chose to serve and not be above.

I chose this life – with all of its dues,
And with each dawn, again I choose;
The experiences for me that wait ahead,
To be alive, or be claimed dead.

And of the future lives I've yet,
It is my choice that I begat;
All the things, however pleasin',
That shall befall me in those seasons.

Well, there's no such thing as 'trying' death. It's a one-time occurrence for humans. You will cease to exist, eternally.

But humans have been curious about death for thousands of years, so that's nothing new. And yes, there's nothing wrong with talking openly and honestly about it.

mjax, you are certainly correct from a definitional standpoint, but I would argue it is indeed possible to 'try death'. Most who have undergone major surgery can tell you that the experience involves one moment being fully awake and conscious, followed by instantaneously finding yourself in recovery with all kinds of tubes coming out of you and probably a lot of pain.

What was in between? The same nothing of eternity that follows life.

True, I forgot about near-death experiences, and cases similar to that where people are pronounced clinically dead but were 'brought back to life'.

The way the OP worded the question made me think of trying death by his/her own hand out of some natural curiosity. I've heard of these cases too.

NO, I do not believe that the feelings will just go away. There is an epidemic of suicide going on, in this world, with much of it being teens. To me, this shows that Satan is working overtime, however to the unbeliever, well... he/she always rationalizes everything.

However, the bible says that spirits are real... no matter how much fun people want to make of them nowdays... and fallen spirits influence people.

You have the power over this, but, you have to act on it. If you give in to it, you may very well accomplish what you desire to do. Many have, and many more will follow.

I think the death culture out there has influenced this greatly. The door has been opened up, by all kinds of things, leaving young people with no defense.

If you do not have someone praying for you, then, you are at risk. We are in a war, between good and evil, and the influences are all around.

I highly encourage you to find a church and get saved, then, stay under the leadership of that church, as long as you are comfortable there, and feel that they are truly preaching the word of God, in sincerity and truth, and in the right spirit.

There is safety in Gods house. There you should learn about the war going on in your mind, and how to fight it, with spiritual tools. Reading and applying the Word of God, being in fellowship with other believers, being baptised, asking for prayer when needed, etc.

This will keep you from the evil one. He is trying to steal, kill and destroy, what God created. You. and everyone like you. Every human being on planet earth, is under attack from Satan, in one form or another. Whether it is an outright attack or an attack of unbelief, it is still an attack.

And the weapons of our warfare are mighty, to the pulling down of strongholds, wickedness in high places (the mind).

Father, I bind this spirit of suicide that is attempting to talk this young man into taking his own life, I ask you to expose this lying spirit for what it truly is, and that you will lead this young man, to a place where he can get saved, and get strong, in his spirit man, so that he can withstand, the attacks of the enemy. I pray that you will protect him, from himself, and help him to see this for what it is, and be free of it. I pray also, for a whole generation of young people, and old as well, who are daily being bombarded, by thoughts of suicide, I pray that you will wake up your church to this epidemic, help them to see what is happening, and get on their knees, trying to turn this from the direction that it is going, I also ask that you include the multitudes that are into self mutililation, this too, is the work of the enemy in the lives of the ones that do not know the truth, about who their real enemy is. Wake them up, Lord. Help them to see the truth. Take the scales from their eyes, and help them to be delivered from this evil.
Shake the church from their complacency... so that they may stop this terrible scourage on this generation. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
