Letting the divorce go?

Me surfing in Oahu Asked by oceanh3ro about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

my parents got a divorce about six years ago. My mom is now dating this guy, she acts totally different. She's more mean. My dad is not the same either. I sometimes quietly look at pictures of the times when I had a whole family. We were so happy. I find...

myself crying every night. How can I let this go? Am I crazy for still hoping that my parents get back together?

Divorce rate is something like 52%. This problem is not uncommon.

Crying every night about it seems way too extreme.

You should probably talk to your mom about the problem, then ask if she could take you to see a therapist.

Trust me, as much as you think this is a huge problem...you'll soon find that there are much, much worse things that can, and may, happen.

nope I was 5 when my parents got divorced and now my mom is married and had a kid with her new husband and my dad has had a girlfriend for a while I still wish my mom and dad would get back together
you will stop crying about it as much but the best way to deal with it is to talk to someone like your mom or dad about it

I agree with the people above. Speaking to your school counselor about it can help too. It helps to just pour it out instead of bottling all your feelings in.
