Hydrogen peroxide will strip your hair of it's color (over time). Lemon does the same thing only it's more natural and not as hard on your hair. Neither will be really quick it does take some time, kind of like Sun In. It would probably take about 2 weeks for you to lighten it to where you want it.

The chances of you using H2O2 on your hair and having it come out blonde are extremely slim. You are unlikely to be able to get even coloring from such a method, and even if you were, the color is much more likely to come out as orange than anything close to blonde. It's also not great for the outside sheath of the hair follicle, making it feel crunchy and brittle.

Lemon juice won't do a whole lot to the color of your hair, but at least it's not bad for your hair, not unless left on for a very significant amount of time.

Going from brunette to blonde can be a tricky process if you don't know what you're doing (says the guy who used a home-bleaching kit once and had white hair for a month), and your best bet is to cough up the 40 bucks and have it done by a professional. The bad results can be very long-lasting.

Hydrogen peroxide stripes your hair over some time and lemon is natural and takes less time ; if it were me ; I'd use lemon .

I am a brunette too and I would like to put blonde streaks in my hair. I was reading an article on dying hair with lemon juice and it said if you had brown hair, and you put lemon juice, it would turn your hair to more of a reddish color. so I recommend hydrogen peroxide for your hair. at first the peroxide will turn your hair reddish too but if you use it again and again, your hair will be blonde.
