I used to be the jealous guy like your boyfriend is being. I knew my ex's guy friend(s) were into her too. That said, you are not doing the wrong thing by talking to your friend if that is all you're doing and your boyfriend needs to get over it. But...too much time with another guy other than your boyfriend, whether you are there or on the phone, is presumed as a threat to your relationship to the guy. That will never change unless you are with him for a long time. Just make sure that he feels special and not ignored. Yes guys like to feel special too.
