can a 19 year old female date a 17 year old male legally in kentucky. elijah is 16 he will be 17 on april 17 2006 and ill be 20 on november 24 2006 he asked me to marry him wit his mothers permission on december 29 2005 I had his mothers permission to date him 2 months before I met him well she lost custody of him he went into a boys home what should I do we still want to be together

Hey. I am 19 also and I dated a 17 year old. Actually we dated for two years and we are seriousely talking now. Hopefully things will turn out ok. But I too was worried when I first started dating him. But you are not doing anything illegal. you have to be 18 before you should worry ab it, and you are, but he is older than the legal age of consent which is 16. So if he's ok with it and you are. If you love each other...I say go for it. It is perfectly legal hun. The only way it would be illegal would be if he were under 16 and you were forcing him bc that could be considered rape. But obviousely that's not the case!
