Languages in our head

When we hear people speak, we hear it in our heads as English. But like Mexicans and stuff when they hear Spanish, does it translate in their heads as English?

No...
Spanish is their native language. They might not even know english, so why would it translate?
I agree with yumiyukai... we don't translate things into spanish or anything in our head...

no. I actually used to think the same thing. they are used to the sounds that they call things. like perro is dog in spanish. they wouldn't think dog, they'd think perro. They may ask the same question, but when we hear english does it translate to spanish in our Minds???

You know...I've ALWAYS wondered that. My Japanese professor is native Japanese and English is her second language and I can tell that she thinks in Japanese cause it might take her a few seconds to get her thoughts together so she can say whatever it is she's saying to english. She talks to herself in Japanese too.
I think they think in their first language.

Yeah, but not every spanish person thinks in english.
I know a bit of spanish, and I've dreamt in spanish, but I never did before I started learning it.
