ok so what is it with people and labeling? (this is gonna be long) like I get labeled emo/scene and everything and like jsut ecause of what I wear! like people I dont even know say this! its like you dont know me so you really cant judge now can u? and...

what bothers me is is like I dont mind being insulted like I can take it but like the fact that they actually singled me out of the crowd and actually took there time to bash me is just mean and also its like why wood you do that? like honestly ok yeah so what! people wear dark clothing and heavy eyeliner and have dyed hair! yeah ok so that automatically mean there emo right? WRONG! like why wood you bash on someone you dont even know? I just dont understand that. its either like your really mean or just a really unhappy person so you feel the need to tear down other people. and if thats the case then just stop! its not nice! like I no thats pointing out the obvious but its true! why cant we all jsut get along?? llike why do other people have to hate on other people? like this one girl made like a 10 min long video about how much she hates scene and emo people. like why would you waste your time doing that where you can be doing something that can actually make a difference in the world? I mean theres people starving and dying of illness in the world and your wasting your time talking sh*t about people? wow. that such a waste of time..I honestly feel sorry for the people who do that. I really do. GET FRICKEN LIVES AND GET OVER IT!

Everybody labels, it's human nature. I label, you label. Though some are better at suppressing it than others. We might think in our head what they are, but wont say it. I really don't see anything wrong with labeling. Stereotyping being predgiduce to someone bcu of their looks, that's another story. Yes it's wrong, but there's really nothing that can be done about that. Sad.
The thing with Emo's, there's nothing wrong with them , they just seek attention. They act all sad depressed, but watch how quickly they perk up if you mnention that poser store hottopic. All modern day emo's, mostly anyways, are just fricken posers. I bet yeah a good 70% of all people who claim to be Emo don't even know where the term came from or how the genre fahsion fad got started. I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover. I actually talk to people. Not one of the people I met who claimed to be emo didn't even know where the term originated from or that it came from The Post Punk Subculture, NOT The Gothic subculture.

It's a shame society has gone the way of 'labeling' people and groups these days - divides us rather than unites us.

its the posers fault you get bashed just for dressing as you like without calling yourself emo or scene...

and also people have nothing else to do...

but seriously people dont like EMO's because mostly all of them are ust whinning attention seekers... I dont like emos... yet I dont label people by what they wear...I hate the ones who SCREAM being emo... oh look im emo! yeah right _

I have no label. I'm a little bit of everything. My style changes with my mood. So noone can really call me anything. But I dont stereotype. That's just not me. When I see a person who looks Goth or Emo I actually TALK to them and get to know their personalities. Usually you may dress a certain way but your personality doesnt reflect it. So there's no sense of labeling when I'm gonna be wrong anyways. There's just no sense in it. And besides, I love all peoplez. I dont care how you dress!

while I agree with xchild that emos are lameass poserz just because one does not know the origin of a group that they define themselves by isnt always an indication
of bein a poser although it does show a lack of study which can lead to a misunderstang of the group and skew that persons views of that group which people mistak as a poser
