Why is my partner not keen to get engaged?

wonderin if nayone can help me me nad my partner have been together for 5 anda half years and all my friends and family say to me when are you going to get engaged? I drop little hints and talk about one day gettin engaged and married too my partner but...

hes just like I dont want to get married yet, I know he is genuine to me even tho he has done a couple of things in the past, but im still wit him so I do love him if anyone can just tell me some reasons hes bein the way he is that would be great just to set my mind at rest thanks guys

after over 5 years its time to stop being cute with him and ask him if hes ever going to marry you or not. after a while he will become comfortable with the idea that he doesnt have to make the commitment to marry you and that may not work out so well. tonight you need to confront him!

It might be just what he said - he's not ready. Why not? Well.. there might be a number of different reasons. For example, financial problems... past relationships...fear of committing... you get my point? In any case, it's totally up to you what you do in this situation. You can either give him the time he needs to figure out what he wants, or you can cut him loose and go your way. Either way is difficult, but something's got to happen. You deserve to know where you stand before it's too late.
