Laptop for just net & music download etc?

What is the best laptop to buy at the moment for just general use like internet, music photo's and random downloads? On a budget, but still willing to pay for quality...

Firstly, laptops were created for people to use as a spare computer when there on the move and there`s a really bad mis-conception with people using them as there main machine. Plus if your using a laptop with a dongle broadband connection some downloads will take forever. If you still choose a laptop for what you want I would reccomend an acer. Get the one with the biggest harddrive to store your music. I`ve just built my pub landlord a brand new desktop computer for less than £300 with a 500Gb Harddrive and 4x 1 Gig of ram, so if you think a laptop is a cheaper option its not. If you live in the u.k I could build you one and post it to you!

I have an acer ask family and friends if they have any laptops they're not using and that they could sell to u, I got mine from my aunt for only $350 dollars it stores a lot and have a big screen
