The Bible speaks about a creator and how daeth entered into this present world because of sin. Never Gods intention, being the God that he is when man sinned and disobeyed, then God told them Adam and Eve, that they shall surely die. There are scriptures that say just how we were made sinners because of Adam we are made Rigtheous by Jesus Chist, when we receive him into our heart and admit that we are sinners, then he puts his Holy Spirit in you to guide you to all truth and understanding. You start to see that there is a heaven and earth. It says that we will receive what we did while on this earth whether it be good or bad. God promises eternal life to those who are obedient and eternal damnation to those who choose not to believe. I know it is my job as a Christian to not just say that I am but to live it. We are made up of a body while we live here on earth and spirit , of life , the blood that runs through our veins and a soul that is part of your makeup. The soul is what cries out to God the one who created it and people are always trying to fill the void with other things instead of acceptingthe gift of salvation. Again I have scripture I can give you to read if you are serious there are answers to your important questions.

I can't see any reason to take th eidea of an afterlife seriously. It's obvious that's just wishful thinking.

When you die, you just stay dead forever and that's that. It sucks, sure, but reality is under no obligation to placate our fears.

I believe in gods word that when you die you will go to judgment then to heaven or hell

One thing certain about life, it ends. what happens after we die? why we are here? what's the purpose of our life? is it simply living life itself?

If only we accept that our intelligent design, our creation, nessitates an intelligence and designer behind it, a creator who will judge us for what we do.

The concept of a hereafter comes under the belief in the unseen, the only way to know about it is throught divine revelation.

Muslims believe that the present life is only a trial preparation for the next life that comes after death. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and the dead will be ressurected for judgment by God. This day will be the beginning of a life that will never end. This day is the day of judgment. On that day, all people will be rewarded by God according to their beliefs and deeds.

The idea that we go into the ground is *fact* (unless you choose to be cremated, etc).

The idea of 'Heaven' or 'the afterlife' has yet to be proven.

So yes, I guess you're right silverwings- when you choose to ignore the truth in science and evidence, you can imagine some pretty interesting stuff in your own mind.

That's hilarious eternallife! I mean, you're a person who denies things that are proven to be true, backed up by solid undeniable evidence. Ignorance of the facts does not make your faith any more of a reality. So, stop pretending the afterlife is fact, unless you can hand over some solid, unbiased, undeniable evidence.

I find the idea of an afterlife is nothing more than a security blanket of the imagination. Too many people fear the idea of simply not existing, so they make up this fantasy world which they can go to after they die, provided they were a good person. The afterlife is merely something we use for coping when we're scared about the prospect of death.
