In Trinidad and Tobago its

2 or 3 years at kindergarden
5 years at primary school
5 or 7 years at secondary school (its 7 years if you want to pursue A' Levels which is usually the main pre-requiste for entering university)
and 3-4 years at university (tertiary)

Primary school is mandatory for every child

IN Canada (Alberta)
1 or 2 years in kindergarden
6 years in elementry
3 years in junior high
3 years in high school
Then it depends on the post secondary you take but usually its about 4-8 years of schooling after that. And soon we may get another year of high school so grade 13 as post secondary prep. Also in high school your last year you have diplomas we are the only province in our country take takes them. They are 50% of our mark while other provinces finals are only 30%. They are kind of like the SAT and really hard because it is for each subject

In Belgium:
2-3 years of kindergarten
6 years of elementary
6 years of high school (secondary school)
After that university or university college if you wish.

You are legally required to receive an education until you are 18 years old, not necessarily at a school, homeschooling is also possible if the parents have the proper credentials.
