Are there real jobs for 14-year-olds?

Can a 14-year-old get a real job??? Like working at McDonalds or a grocery store, etc.

yesss...Burger King and Mcdonalds hire at age 14...and sometimes you can be a bagger at a grocery store but nothing else! Also some dollar stores hire at age 14...what I did was I went to every store I wanted to work at regardless what age you have to be!! I got hired at party fair when I was 14..and the age limit was 17..so you never know!

six flags hires 14 year olds for sure, I know because I work there

A lot of water parks and probably pools will hire 14-year-olds and they pay a decent amount. Also, many restaurants will hire 14-year-olds (the more expensive, formal restaurants probably won't, so look at cheaper places).

sure! I got hired at a fancy restaurant ! all you have to do is go in ( try to look like someone they would want to hire) and be really respectfull and ask for a job , if they say no , dont sweat it! there will be jobs everywhere!

hmm..yea im 14 im trying to get a job and I live in Odessa Texas. I want to work at Burger King or some other place thats not to tough to do. Well im not really selfish but I want an Xbox 360 and to get something nice for my mom and dad because Christmas is coming up and its always bout me and my brother and for once.. Um...you cannot work at Burger King, McDonalds, or the dollar store at 14. I know this for a fact. They would get in huge trouble no matter what you say. Do not give out false information to people.

I worked at a store for my uncle so if you have a family member who owns a store by you then go there...we just moved so I dont work there any more so im wonder where I should go to get a job to help my mom pay bills.because were poor so I just want to show my mom that I care for her and help her.

I think if the person really wants to work then I say let them I mean realy you want them to be responsible thats how you do it. It teaches them how to take care of them selfs in the future. Plus if they work now they can get better jobs in the future. I really would like 4 14 year olds get a job at stores and and like McDonald's and all that kind of stores It would be very good.
